Our entry rules are changing. Please read the post card.
The main change is that we do reserve the right to eject anyone for endangering others. We also reserve the right to safely and with force, remove someone from the venue or property should they resist.
By allowing your children to attend, we expect them to behave and not risk the safety of others.
"RUNNERS" as we call them are children that leave the building without an escort during the dance times or after the event. These students will not be permitted to return to any dance for the period of one full year.
Students who verbally abuse or physically abuse our staff, security or other dance participants will be reported to the authorities and the school they attend.
Dance participants from "outside schools" must provide a valid phone number and school name.
Dance participants are subject to searches upon entry. If they refuse to be searched, they will not be permitted into the dance without refund. No bags are permitted at the dances. They must be left at the door.
If you are late picking up your child, they will be banned from one dance.
Why Thunderzone is so popular!
Easy! We work with the community, school administration, parents and everyone that goes to the dances to make sure we supply a safe, healthy, social and energetic activity. Many communities do not offer support to social activities for youth. We know, from our experience, dances and music are an important social activity for youth. We make sure we respect everyone at the dance and that the youth attending show respect to us and to others. This provides for a fun and safe enviorment. We take what we know from doing school dances all over ontario and work the themes and ideas into our production. Thunderzone is not really a dance...it is a full blown theatrical production! Weeks of preparation go into the planning of every single dance!
Behind the scenes of Thunderzone!
If you read the blurb about why the dances are popular, the crew of Thunderzone thought it would be cool to show you the behind the scenes planning and construction of what we do. Look for a photo area coming soon of how a room is transformed into a mobile club!
Smithville - West Lincoln Community Care.
Please visit west lincoln community care to find out how you can support your community like we do.
Did you know that West Lincoln Community Care helps the families of students at College Street, St. Martins, Caistor and Gainsborough.
Originally we were going to start a backpack or running shoe program for these schools but the admin at these schools said if they know of students needing assistance, they would contact West Lincoln Community Care. They are so much more than just a food bank!
Where does the money go and why we make it look so easy!
The money goes back to the community after we cover costs. As you can see by the photos, this is not a simple little dance. This is a full production. From the upfront costs of insurance, music, staff, equipment, snack bar and advertising....each dance takes over 5 weeks to prepare! We take the security and safety seriously at our events and do not tolerate any misbehavior from dance participants or parents! We are professionals who have been doing this sort of thing for over 30 years!
